The Gregory and Paula Chow foundation for education in economics was established at Xiamen University in October 2016. It was donated mainly by Professor Gregory C. Chow, a world-renowned economist at Princeton University, and his wife, Ms. Paula Chow. Professor Gregory Chow and Paula Chow will donate a total of ten million US dollars, and the first batch of donation was 3 million US dollars.

The Gregory and Paula Chow foundation for education in economics aims to improve China's economics research and education. The foundation is managed by the Paula and Gregory Chow Institute for Studies in Economics, and are earmarked for the operation and academic activities of the Paula and Gregory Chow Institute for Studies in Economics.
